Any others inspired by the work of Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui ('myth' at Sadlers Wells) or Ballet C de la B ?
I've been hooked for some years - moves me where little else can.

I had a ticket for Myth last Friday, however there were problems with the trains and I couldn't get into London in time.

He's got another piece being performed on Wednesday next week that I'll be going to though - he's worked on it with with the Shaolin Monks and with Antony Gormley - the guy who did the stage set for "Zero Degrees", which Cherkaoui did with Akram Khan.

Zero Degrees was the first of Cherkaoui's dances I ever saw - I went because the music was scored by Nitin Sawhney, and I know he'll only get involved in a project if it's going to be really good. At times Cherkaoui had me in fits of laughter - as well as being a great dancer, he's a very naturally funny guy. He has a great skill with physical comedy, vaguely like a latter-day Tommy Cooper.

shame about the trains.
I'm also going to the monks business - on Friday, tho' expecting it to be in quite another vein, whereas myth was in the genre of Ballet C de la B - humour, satire, live music as part of the stage, politics, religion, camp. tragedy, often juxtaposed in anarchic multiplicity - beautiful counterpoint and sublime movements. Here's a clip of what you missed, though really does no justice to the live show...
