A topic from Skills, Talents & Leisure: Cycling and Mountain Biking

I am not having a good weekend :o(

yesterday I decided to be clever and drive my car through a fairly deep flood. It got through fine only to find that it had caused an electrical fault this morning which had flattened the battery.

The AA can start the car but won't be able to fix the problem.

The VW garage won't be able to look at it until monday.

I tried to jump start the car ....... but unfortunately my car had other ideas and promptly locked itself ........ with my keys inside it.

I had to get Jamie to come over with the spare key just so we could move the car out of the way until it could be repaired .......

I WAS A BIT FED UP BUT ITS NOT THE END OF THE WORLD ......

I thought I'd go out cycling on my bike (in training for the Dunwich Dynamo 120 mile ride next week)

Going round a roundabout when this little old lady knocks me flying . She simply didn't see me (although I was wearing a bright luminous mac)

I wear clycling cleats which means when I fall off I am still attached to my bike.

It hurt ........ it hurt a lot :o(

I spent three hours in casualty ...... I have a nasty gash in my leg (knee) requiring several stitches, some other more minor cuts and some bumps and bruises but thankfully nothing serious.

I think I'm unlikely to be able to do the ride next saturday and I've been looking forward to it for ages

Please tell me my weekend is going to improve now ..... PLEASE
