photoHiya - I`m 34 and based in Mid Cheshire halfway between Manchester and Chester. I am told I am a nice guy, & believe I measure up on that score:) Not really a big scene person - (out since I was 15 - so hit it big style then, but I do still drop in to say hiya :) - plus life`s far to interesting to be propping up bars in the big city!

How sad - and how frightening - that someone, who one would have thought at one point, had it all - what we as a nation aspire to, has fallen so quickly.

It just makes me glad that I got through some of my own rough spots in one piece - there but for twists of fate go us all.

"If you are a male and aged between 18 and 65, and not mad or disabled, you're not a priority so you just do not get housing," he said.

"They don't have a duty of care."
(from above link.

I agree that help for single men is relatively low on local and national agenda. However, the satement that 'they' don't have a duty of care as I read it should mean 'they' don't have a responsibility for accomodation. However, this is simply not true. A friend of mine was going to be made homeless due to a broken relationship (m/m and he had no entitlement to any share of the property). His local authority classed him as homeless and found him local association accomodation. It wasn't great, but at least the local authority accepted that it did have a responsibility.

Maybe Hove is less considerate and I wish more was done for single men. For my friend, I am glad that his local authority was helpful.

Interesting, I bet when he was earning £100,000 a year he had plenty of friends and family, I wonder where they all are now.
