Hi there... 30 year old guy living in Guildford, Surrey. Into music, walking/hiking, arts, food, pubs, politics, cars, jogging and stuff. More into long walks, theatre, trying something new in the kitchen, catching up with friends kind of guy than wild clubber. Looking to make new friends, find myself a MAN- ho ho ;-) and have a tendancy to talk endless rubbish.

Hello all you clever IT people, I wonder if you can help? I've recently got a new Vaio laptop... core 2 duo with windows vista home premium preloaded. I've had it for a few weeks now and despite tweaking and removing bloatware etc I am still suffering problems e.g. wireless connection not always working, particularly on start up, sometimes the laptop not identifying any wireless networks, the task bar sometimes loading up in old school windows 95 style rather than vista style, the side bar not loading intermitedly, the battery and volume icons only working with certain power schemes etc just lots of annoying, frustrating bugs. I'm increasingly putting it down to vista rather than the laptop itself, and am thinking of loading xp onto the machine instead... which I'm mighty reluctant to do cus I'd need to buy a copy... any advice greatly appreciated. |
