Have been on here for like ... FOREVER but recently had to give it a break because the fees were so steep. Well, I thought ... what the hell and spent my Christmas money on the place just because of the friends I have here and sod all else really. So, what are you waiting for, say hello already! I just bought my son a Sony Vaio all in one machine with a 22" screen. It's amazing except for the TV feature.

It's running Vista Home Premium with Media Centre and after playing around for ages I am now quite familiar with the interface!

Plugging in the aerial lead from the outside aerial gets digital freeview with no problem at all. All well and good except he doesn't really watch that, he uses Sky.

It doesn't have a scart connector so I can't use that. I have been using the aerial input on the PC and the output from the Sky box. It picks up the signal OK but the screen ratio is all wrong, remember, it was fine with freeview. I have gone through the settings on the Sky Box and it is set for 16:9

The PC also has input for SVHS and what appears to be a 3.5 jack for a/v. I was wondering if going the SHVS would resolve anything as that can be connected to the scart output from the Sky box and an aux in exists on the PC to get the sound ... only problem there is that there is lag on the sky picture as it is currently connected. The PC works as though it was Sky plus and there is definitely a much longer amount of time needed to go through channels and settings from the Sky Box.

Any possible solutions gratefully received because I am stumped and I don't say that often!
