Playing mp3 files from sites using Firefox

Help !

I'm trying to sample some music on a favourite website. In the past, Firefox has opened a new tab and played the file through windows media player.

Now it opens a new tab but does nothing else.

I've looked at the settings under options but can't find whats gone wrong.

Any ideas please ?

In the short term, try right-clicking on the link to save the file to your disc, so that you can open it from there.

I haven't a lot of experience double-checking the Firefox set-ups for downloads, etc, but there must be something in the help and preferences menus.

Try Ctrl+J to see what's downloaded - that'll offer you the option to open the file if it's been downloaded.
