Writer and computer spod (thankfully doing more of the former after far too long hung up on the latter!). My area of work is the performing arts -- specifically, theatre and television -- and, while I know far too much about the latter, am always looking for people to accompany me to the former! Always interested in meeting new friends, especially those willing to help me celebrate becoming a published author!

Do you know of any XTension or plugin that can enable me to build multiple indexes?

I've got a requirement for a catalogue whose main entries will run to 200 pages or so, with each entry listed alphabetically within regions. However, we also want to be able to include an index by entry name, and also produce smaller indexes by category -- so that you could turn to the page for Category A, say, and see a list of matching entries and the page number their main entry appears on.

I can do this quite easily in Word (well, I say easily -- Word's indexing fields support multiple indices, but their dialog boxes don't). Typographically, though, I really don't want to go down the Word route.

Does anybody know of a third-party extension which could help me?
