Hey Guys

I bought a new lap top about a month ago (Advent 9617) with Windows Vista on it. I've found that sometimes when I'm typing, no matter what programme I'm using (word, outlook, msn, out, etc etc) that at times the cursor will jump to the words/paragraphs above and my typing is then right in the middle of something I've already written and I have to cut and paste etc.

I know I'm not inadvertently hitting a command key, unless there is a setting I have to change that I didn't know about?. My other friends are also experiencing the same problem even with different versions of Vista.

Does anyone know if this is a bug, if so can it be fixed and how? I've been on the windows update website and can't find anything, is this something we have to wait until SP2 comes out?

Help please because it's driving me crazy! Thanks

A d S k I

Are you perchance hitting the trackpad for the mouse when you are typing?

This is something I do with my laptop, and because I have it set up to tap, I do occasionally find my cursor jumping to silly places.....

You might accidently be pressing down on teh trackpad as you type and selecting where your cursor is. I do that all the time when I am on my laptop.
