I recently purchased a Lexmark all in one fax, scanner, printer, copier and got around to installing it last week when the print cartidges emptied on my old faithful HP. The only reason I had to change was because the scanning/copying bit of the HP had become very unreliable and took a lot of persistence in getting it to work. |

is the print set up, set to SPOOL the job first and then print? turning this off in properties will help |

The laptop also connects to it via the wireless network and that starts printing almost immediately... the only thing is that if I get any pop-up messages (it keeps asking me to register, even though I've done that on the desktop) and after printing just a few pages it pops-up telling me I need to re-order cartridges) the printer just crashes and I have to close any Lexmark applications from Task Manager. |

Another disappointment, was that if I connected the desktop pc to the Lexmark via the USB cable, the printer wouldn't also connect to the laptop via the wireless network. To connect both, they both have to connect wirelessly. |
