photoLudicrously tall, lackadaisical leftie urbanite pondering stuff. At length. And then a bit more. While dreaming of far-away places and handsome men. I also quit the rat race a few months back, though sometimes I think I miss the maze. Anyone have any cheese?

This morning I finally decoupled my old SuperVHS from my TV, realising I hadn't used it in about 3 years!

So I'm looking for some advice on what to replace it with. I have a simple freeview box at the mo, and a DVD player which is nearing its last legs...

Would you go for a freeview tivo? A recordable DVD player? Or something else?

Ideally, I'd go for a combo DVD-recorder with a hard disk as well. That way you can record stacks of stuff on the hard disk and then just make DVD copies of the stuff that you decide you want to keep permanently.
