Watching TV last night made me thik about humour and how diverse it can be. It started at 7pm on Channel 5 with my all time favorit Ken Dodd. Not a profanity in sight. Then moved over to BBC2 for The Good Life must be one of the all time greats and ended bizrely with Chubby Brown. I found the last one intriguing. Having read his autobiography recently it was one of those books you couldnt put down (prolly cos it was superglued to my hands!!)

He made a statement and I started to think about how far humour goes. The statement went something similar to this> I can tell jokes about gay and lesbian straight and disabled but if i start telling jokes about ethnic minorities people come down on me like a ton of bricks.

I believe you can laugh at people and with people providing they do not find the situation they are laughing about offensive. I must admit, I do find it difficult appreciating ethnic jokes, but yet I can laugh about my own sexuality without a problem. Does anyone have any words of wisdom to share?
