viceWed 20/08/08 08:04		So, after the nuptuals of the new Mr Risebury-Crisp (quickfind:oracle) a couple of weeks ago, and a couple of lesbian weddings (tis the season for lesbian weddings, you know) it got me pondering about name changes after civil ceremonies. If you've gotten a CP, how did you decide on your last name. Did you keep it? Did you go double barrelled? Who's name goes first? And if you're not in a CP, and there's little chance of you being in one any time soon, would you consider a double barrelled name? Would you be able to hold your head up high when you next go to your old Council estate and introduce yourself as the new Mr Piffingsly-Smith? Yes, it's going to be one of those days. No, I'm not getting married any time soon. No, its not too early for a tipple. Pass the gin please.

philjohnWed 20/08/08 08:06		We would never ever double barrel our names. Not in a million years. Well I wouldn't. Where does it all go? What happens when the offspring of two straight couples who have done this get married?
kesterWed 20/08/08 08:06		I'll be interested to see how this one goes. I don't know what to do with mine and my man's surnames, being Griffin and Fowler respectively. They don't seem to sit nicely together, so I have a feeling that we'll retain our individual names.

Your chequebook could easily end up looking like one that Keith Chegwin gives to Terry Wogan on behalf of the sick kids of Great Ormond Street on Children in Need night.
