It's a very well known piece, I like it but I find it a bit morbid. |

how can you find this sublime music morbid ?? even tho it is part of the liturgy for good friday !!! |

It is a very moving piece of music which I have heard people refer to affectionately as "The Glums"! The choir in my church always sings it as part of the Good Friday service. Always brings a tear to the eye. |

hell hugh , ur church choir must be good , i sang with the oratory choir back in the late 80's and it was hard work even for us - its no piece for amateurs , with all those treble top c's to sustain x |
