The identities of a number of high profile celebrities who are said to have taken out super-injunctions to block the media from reporting details of their private lives have been revealed on Twitter and shared with tens of thousands of users.

As users freely retweeted the details of the super-injunctions the hashtag #superinjunction started to trend ensuring that tens of thousands of Twitter users would be able to freely read the details. Some did tweet concerns about legal ramifications, but as the number of tweets grew more and more joined in and the fear of legal come back subsided.

The retweeting of the details of the super-injunctions calls into question their future. MPs and others have already asked why they are so freely granted by judges who have been handing them to stars who fear of details of affairs and other indiscretions slipping out into the public domain.
