Graham Norton could replace Terry Wogan as Eurovision host

Gay comedian Graham Norton is rumoured to be being lined up by the BBC to replace Sir Terry Wogan as the British host of Eurovision.

Sir Terry Wogan who has hosted, The Song for Europe, the programme that picks the UK entry for more than thirty years talked about of quitting his association with the Eurovision Song Contest after this year's event.

After seeing the UK come joint last in May at the Belgrade hosted event he said: "I was considering giving up before Belgrade and now I have to say I'm very doubtful about ever wanting to do Eurovision again."

He said: "Russia were going to be the political winners from the beginning."

The Sun today claim that Graham Norton who has hosted musical television contest programmes I'd Do Anything and Any Dream will Do is a favourite to succeed Sir Terry.
They claim an 'insider' said: "The BBC need an alternative and Graham is their man. He is currently talking to bosses about the Song For Europe show, which will run some time in March next year.

"Execs have big plans for the show and want to make it more glitzy, with one eye on X Factor.

"Terry may decide he still wants to do the commentary for the actual contest but if he doesn't, Graham will do that as well."

The 45-year-old has a £6m deal with the BBC for whom he also hosts his own chat show.

... So do you believe Graham would be a suitable replacement for Terry (TICK)

Or (CROSS) and who do you think should replace Terry.

If Terry is for the 'Old Togs', will Graham be standing for the 'Old Todgers'

I think if he were to present the show i would never watch it again. Cant stand Graham Norton! He hasnt made a new joke in years and his laugh makes me want to slap him round the face with a fish.

How about we get that ginger german (as in the previous discussion about the olympics and gymnastics) lol. I'd definatly watch it then... (p.s. im joking about him being presenter before anyone gets their knickers in a twist :-p )
