In essence, that is what Sarah Beeny said on Help! My House is Falling Down tonight. The house she was repairing had an infestation of rodents and she suggested that if it wasn't so bad as to demand the attention of pest controllers, getting a cat would help. Apparently, the smell of cat urine halves conception rates among mice and halves their litter sizes as well. Given that many cats will catch as many as three mice a day, a cat can dramatically reduce a local mouse population. |
