We have a cat. She is about 3 years old indoor cat and we were just wondering would it be a gd idea to get another one. |

I had a cat for 4 years then got a kitten. The older cat hated the kitten and almost moved out. But now 8 years later they tolerate each other. You'd never find them cuddling on the couch but they don't fight. |

Don't do it. I've agonised over this for ages but from past experience I know if I get a second cat Simba will not be at all impressed. It is 'his' house and garden and he would not want to share it. Cats are solitary animals, they do not need the company of other cats. Their servant (you) is enough for them. |

Unless there is evidence that your cat is lonely, I would be very careful about getting another cat. |
