I've just come back from the London Motor Show and I have to say I'm utterly disappointed with it.

Except for the Insignia there was nothing new there. Nothing to stir the soul. And there were some big players like VW and Audi missing. I'd have liked to see the new Scirocco again.

There was even big gaping holes in the show floor where stands should have been and weren't.

I don't know if it's because I went to Geneva in March and it didn't measure up to that but it was disappointing. Oh, and to add insult to injury it cost £10 to get in whereas Geneva (a MUCH bigger show) only charged £7.

Oh, and if anyone is considering going expect LONG delays on public transport. DLR are only runing trains to Canning Town and then you have to change for a train to Excel. Going isn't too bad, but coming back they only had trains back to Bank from Canning Town every 10 minutes.

I assume you missed the Alfa Romeo MiTo then? London being the first motorshow it has appeared at anywhere in the world.

I do get your point though about a lot of the big players staying away, that's one of the reasons I'm not bothering this year.

Ooops, I did see that but it's not very interesting. I actually think the Punto looks better.

And everyone at the stand today was saying how ugly it was. Quite funny as you could see the Alfa people getting miffed about this.

What about the Ford Focus RS, that was a world preimier too? And how can I forget the oddly names Lotus Evora making it's first public appearance.

I can't believe you said that, I'm in complete shock see :o in fact it's :O

I think the MiTo is rather nice looking, I think it works better visiually than my 147 and I can't help but find it better looking than the Insignia
