A topic from Vehicles & Transport: Cars

So its pissing down here today - really heavy (least it was when I was leaving for work).

So why oh why do people:

1. Not have their lights on! I mean for fucks sake people - the spray is *higher* than your car. Your car is the same colour. NO-ONE can see you! Turn your bloody lights on!
2. Leave LESS than a cars length between them and the car in front? Fair enough if we are going 10-20mph (which I have seen on the Bypass). But we were doing 50! And it wasn't just one car - there were at least 4 or 5 all that close. Are people *really* that stupid? They wont stop in time if they have to brake suddenly - even if it was dry they'd struggle. Being that close to the car in front *isn't* going to get you to your destination any quicker. So why do they do it? Why don't they leave the 2 second gap I was always taught to leave?

I think thats all that has annoyed me this morning....
