I'll be changing my mortgage soon, and I've been asked by my financial adviser for an idea of the latest value of my property. Do I get an estate agent in and pretend to be interested in selling, just to get a valuation? And do I need to get more than one? And will they get highly annoyed if I they suspect (as they undoubtedly will as I'm no good at lying) that I have no intention of selling? Can I be honest with them and pay them a small valuation fee instead? |
