So, last night I nearly bled to death after a minor accident with a knife and a yellow pepper, and my thumb. Much of the top of it ended up as pizza topping and it was still gushing (literally) blood after 3 hours despite attempts at excessive bandaging, stopping the blood supply with a shoelace (ya know, cheapo cock-ring stylee) and getting through a whole box of Band Aid.

This morning my thumb is about twice its usual size thanks to all the stuff to soak up blood and all the stuff to tape up the stuff to soak up blood, but it seems to have clotted a bit better than it was doing last night.

So, my question as I know OUTers are a mine of useful medical advice whether qualified or not, is the end of my thumb ever going to grow back? Or am I destined to have a large flat diagonal surface on the top left of it for ever more?

I know, I know, I should have asked an adult to help me cut the pepper.
