My father died from an aneurysm (which essential is when one of the main blood vessals to th hert bursts) ...... adn this type of scanning may (I stress may) have saved his life.

The article states that 3000 men a year die from this which is twice as many as female deaths from cervical cancer (which already has regular screening in place)

I did a check online and noticed that if you want a private scan it only costs £50 ..... I may have thsi done just to make sure

Sounds like a good idea, not a bad price for peace of mind!

We seem to do very little for early detection of male conditions in this country, even where there is a known risk.
