Glasses Direct...

Has anyone had any experience of getting glasses via this website? I ordered a pair a week ago and going to contact them again today to ask what's happeneing but I was wondering what someone else's experience has been of this or even getting any online, is there a certain site you would recommend?

Hi Lew, I've had two pairs of glasses off them in the past year and they've been excellent!

I wear contact lenses most of the time but at night use glasses so just wanted some cheap ones as nobody sees me in them.

I was quoted £155 for one pair by Boots Opticians and £170+ for another pair from D&A. I ended up getting two pairs from glassesdirect for £40.00 (One @ £15 and other @ £25)

My ex partner has a complex prescription and was quoted £275.00 for ONE pair from Boots Opticians and got them from glassesdirect for £65! His partner got the two same pairs I got for £30 as he had a £10 off voucher.

I thnk as long as you get a full eyetest every two years to get your current prescription, it's well worth shopping around online and off to see how much you can save.

Thanks for that and the number saves me looking about. I ordered a black pair from there called the Madrid. They've got some nice colourful ones as well as some nice designer stuff. Like you I wear lenses, have the monthly day and night ones but of late I've decided to go glasses for a while. Fingers crossed they may be here today when I get home. How long did the delivery take for yours?

Hi Lew, I think the first pair were about 10 days or so and the 2nd less than a week. On the website it says allow up to 14 days but give them a call anyway to see when they'll be with you.

The designer ones are great value as well so mght go for them next time as my eyes seem to change slightly every time I get a new prescription so it's a good excuse to get new glasses:-)

Way cool dude! They're very 50's Buddy Holly, timeless classic - and I have them in tortoishell! Black would be too severe for me being so pale but they're great glasses. I think these were the 2nd pair I bought @ £25.

Tortoiseshell color brings out the RED in my eyes!
