I was just reading through a press cutting from the Mirror on my work's intranet, and wondered whether Big Brother fans thought the same thing?

Apparently programme bosses are so concerned that the first show won't do very well..that they've decided to begin the new series later in the summer!

The show normally kicks off in in May but this time it will begin on the 5th June, in order to avoid a clash with ITV's Britain's Got Talent which ends in May.

Davina will still be the main presenter, but Dermot will not be returning for BBLB as he apparently wants to concentrate on the hit show..X Factor. A wise choice, Dermot!

"A lot is resting on the opening week.

If it's not a big hit, the size of the show could be drastically reduced next year or maybe even axed."

Looks like it's sink or swim for the long-running reality TV series, and who knows...it might be asked to leave the Channel 4 house!
