Oh what have i done

after years of conventional laptops

i have just bought a macbook 13.3, 7 months old hardly used beauty of ebay

One question is as i gather the sellers have hardly used it in all for doing photos due to not understanding it

i therefore doubt i will receive it in factory condition

so is there a reset command

Also as i am a macbook virgin are there any good manuels i can buy

and standby apple outers i may need your help

you don't need to buy books. the help function under mac os x is really good in explaining things. just go to "help" and pick "mac help" there is a section if you're new to mac os x that introduces you to the system.

i don't think that there is a reset command to turn the computer back to factory settings. you might have to re-install the system. but again, that's easy. pop in the dvd, restart the computer and hit install. the installer will take you through the process and it is dead easy. after about 20 minutes, you'll have a brand new system. and again, when you start the laptop for the first time, the system will take you through the process to set up your user account and even internet connection.

Your new Macbook should come with backup CDs that should enable you to restore it to factory settings... I did but I have the Macbook Pro so they could be slightly different.
