photoHi - I'm Chris, I make computer games for a living. When I'm not doing that I like going to comedy clubs, the theatre, the occasional concert, and plenty of restaurants. Which makes for a busy day, I can tell you.

Hi all

I decided this morning I was going to look into buying a macbook. Thing is I'm very likely to be doing 3D graphics coding on it.. so my research in the Apple store led me to conclude I need a macbook pro - which start at 1300 quid :(

I was inspired to look on ebay a minute ago - this guy (http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/gds-designerwear) is apparently selling 4 for around 200 quid each. Which I would've assumed had "SCAM" written all over it, but his feedback seems positive..

Thoughts?

Chris

Hmm. Looking a bit iffy.

The only worry for me would be that ti's shipped from China - experience has taught me to never get something unless it's come from the UK (US at a push). eBay items from China are notorious for being very cheap and then charging a lot for the P&P. Plus it usually takes a few weeks to arrive.

I'm struggling to understand how the seller has gotten hold of all of those Mac Books and is only selling them for 200-400 quid each - if it is true I'll take 5 of them right now!

agree with quickfind:dunknw24 totally but I guess what the guy is suggesting is that the guide price is £200 which is very different to what price it will sell at especially on a site like eBay!

I'm typing this on my G4 powerbook as we speak!!!

Love it!

I was thinking that too - I mean, he may have set a low price but that doesn't mean he wont have a reserve of 1500 or something.

But then all the auctions are only there for about 5 hours or so - so people aren't getting much time to bid..

oh quickfind:dunknw24 we both know that five hours is a long time when it comes to bidding!

Anyhoo, all I meant to say was that Macbooks are amazing!you won't find a better OS!!!!
